Conceived for a summer luxury hotel, this bathroom reinterprets its typology by preserving core functions while reconstructing its spatial language through floating translucent volumes. Moving beyond familiar materials and conventional geometries, light-permeable elements developed in dialogue with Antonio Lupi pieces establish a continuous architectural flow, allowing the space to unfold without interruption.
The spatial layout replaces traditional countertops with low masses that articulate the washbasin and bathtub areas while simultaneously introducing inhabitable surfaces. These elements separate functions without rigid boundaries, reinforcing continuity within the interior. Natural daylight operates in dialogue with layered interior lighting, enabling the atmosphere to shift according to user preference.
Mirrors expand reflective surfaces to intensify depth perception and enhance brightness, while a balanced solid–void composition maintains architectural clarity. The recessed cavity beneath the mirrored unit accommodates towels and personal belongings without adding visual weight. Positioned at the rear, a paint-effect wallpaper surface remains protected from water exposure while strengthening the perception of depth. Translucent elements assert their presence yet preserve openness, ensuring a fluid, expansive, and cohesive spatial experience.
